What did I do wrong........?!
I made chicken and dumplings yesterday after not having made it for a long time!. Today the dumplings are almost as hard as a rock!. No leftovers for me :( I use Bisquick and milk to make the dumplings, but I never measure it!. Did I use too much/too little milk!? (I made it the same way I used to, and have never had this happen!.)

Having had experience with this, I bet your Bisquick was too old; it loses "pep" after some time!. You can still use it, but to assure light dumplings next time, put in a half teaspoon of baking soda; that will liven it back up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Look on the Bisquick box!.!.!.There is a 1-800-#!. They used to have a recipe for "drop biscuits" on the box!. They removed it!. If you call the 1-800-# they have all the recipes you could need!. Just ask about dumplings!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
