Question: Help, I need to bring a dessert to my daughter's class in the morning!. Any simple recipes with Jello & fruits!?
My 4 year old Pre-K is having a little Thanksgiving dinner at school and I was actually suppose to bring a "Coconut Flan" to school!. Unfortunately I cant bring it because I don't have all the ingredients to make it and the corner store is closed already!. I have a few things I can work with such as Jello gelatin, canned Mandarin oranges and sliced pineapples, apple sauce, coconut milk, condensed milk, powder sugar, regular sugar of course, evaporated milk, seedless grapes, cream cheese, coconut cream, pineapple juice!.

I have to bring a dessert to her class and it has to be something quick, that has any of the ingredients I mentioned!. I could probably do pina colada with the pineapple juice & coconut cream, but I still have to bring a dessert!. I also never done jello with fruits, so I have no idea if is just making the jello as usual & adding fruits to it!. Any ideas with jello would be greatly appreciated!. Thanks in advanced!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

PERFECT!.

My grandmother always makes a gelatin salad for special occasions (including thanksgiving)!. It's with Lemon or Orange jello, mandarin oranges, small pineapple pieces, and grated carrots!.
It might not sound appealing but it's really yummy, and my little cousins (6,4, & 2) always love it!.

1!. Spray a bowl with pam or a non stick spray!.
2!. Mix the fruits with the jello (already mixed with the water as the directions say)!.
3!. Let the gelatin set
4!. Put a plate on top of the bowl, flip it, and serve!.

Remember, you can't put fresh pineapple in jello, because it won't set!.
Hopefully you have canned pineapple!.

My mom used to make that stuff when I was little, it was so yummy!.

And with the same type of flavors too in jello, because she said it was fall colors!.

But what she used to do for my classes is this, make it just like the box says, in a flat dish, cut it into little squares, then she'd put them in a cup, & layer whipped cream inbetween the layers!. Once she got to the top, she would makea smilie face with the whipped cream, then in place of the nose she would place a cherry with a stem on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
