The best way to clean chicken before cooking... Vinegar or lemon/lime?!
I was helping my Girlfriend clean some chicken quarters yesterday before cooking!. I noticed that she was about to use some lemon squeeze from 1 of those fake lemons!. I made the suggestion of cleaning the chicken with vinegar!. Is one better that the other!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both are fine, however I much prefer lemon, I too use the lemon juice from a bottle, the lemon tends to cut some of that really raw smell that uncooked chicken has ands sometimes you'll notice a greasy consistency to the skin of a raw chicken and the lemon juice really gets rid of that, however if I run out of lemon juice then i'll use the vinegar as it's the next best thing!.
As for those who rinse with cold water only I would not recommend that at all, ewww !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. who knows the dirt and germs that may be on your pack of perdue chicken!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i'm sorry but cold water is not enough for me, and FYI washing with vinegar or lemon juice does not leave any lasting flavor!.
I challenge everyone here to give it a try and they will notice a significant difference in the taste and flavor of their chicken, it will taste much cleaner and brings out the natural flavors fof the chicken much betterWww@FoodAQ@Com
