Silly Problem/Serious Answers Only: Nestle's Tollhouse Cookies?!

Question: Silly Problem/Serious Answers Only: Nestle's Tollhouse Cookies!?
I need to know to what temperature and what possible time adjustments should be made if I want to bake a whole, unsliced log of Nestle's Tollhouse Refrigerated Cookie Dough!. My son's birthday is Thanksgiving and this is what he wants instead of a cake!. Go figure!.

Anyone know what adjustments need to be made!? I'm at regular elevation, and my oven is spot on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I HAVE DONE THIS WITH PILLSBURY SUGAR COOKIE DOUGH!.I PUT MY OVEN ON 350 DEGREES !. I JUST KEPT CHECKING THEM!.I WOUND UP TAKING THEM OUT AFTER 20 MINUTES!. THEY WERE DONE PERFECT!. HOPE THIS HELPEDWww@FoodAQ@Com

Mix the whole tube so it is shaped like a ball(just like a regular cookie, only a lot larger)
Put it in the oven at the same temperature as the directions
Stick a toothpick in every once in a while(if there is dough remaining on the toothpick, it's not done)

Something that would be really good:
Cut the roll in half and bake separately!.
Let it cool then spread chocolate fudge(or icing, whichever) on the top of one!.
Put the other cookie on top
it's like a cookie and a cake all in oneWww@FoodAQ@Com

I am not sure that will work!. As I think about it it might get really crisp on the outside and not done on the inside!. Does he want it to look like the cookie log when it is done!? Would he be open to maybe a filling in the middle!. I think if you cut it in half and then baked it, it might work better!. Then if you put frosting in the middle to work as a glue it might work!. Experiment, what the heck!. I don't know that it will stay in that shape as it cooks!. Not sure that I was very helpful, but best of luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

OK, now, you want to bake the roll of cookie dough as a whole, right!? It's not going to stay in a roll when baked!. It will spread out and become a big blob!. But you could spread it out in a 9x9" pan and bake it as you would bar cookies, at 350 for 25 min!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I doubt it will work, but why not contact Nestles and ask them for aid!?

If all else fails, you could bake the cookies the usual way and then create an icebox cake log with them using melted chocolate to hold it together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You do understand that it will melt into a flat log shape!? And you do risk uneven cooking due to the thickness!.!.!.

I would at least cut it half length wise and then follow the temp guidelines on the package!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you need to change the plan and slice it first!. I've been baking their premixed dough and find that the recommended 375 for 10 or 11 minutes is just right!.
Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think it can be done
The ends will be over cooked and the center probably under cookedWww@FoodAQ@Com

lower heat, longer cook time!. i cant give you exact, but juct insert a toothpick once in a whileWww@FoodAQ@Com
