Substitute for milk in mashed potatoes?!

Question: Substitute for milk in mashed potatoes!?
I have some half and half from another recipe, can i use that in the mashed potatoes instead of milk!? will it taste good!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes it will!. Richer because of the extra fat but I have even used heavy cream!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mustard is good, sour cream is my favorite, I have a freind who uses garlic mayo and hers is lovely!. I would take one piece of potato, mash it with a fork on a plate with some of your half and half and taste it, see what you think, if you like the taste, go for it with the rest!! xWww@FoodAQ@Com

es, you can dilute it a little with water if need be!.

or, i use chicken stock!. or broth, if you dont have those, then do what i do and cheat, open up a can of chicken soup, strain the liquid, warm it up a little and use that!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cream of any kind, half and half is fine!. chicken stock would work, also any of the canned "milk" products!.
I make my holiday mashed potatoes with cream and butter!. Yum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use chicken broth (watch out though if you use too much it can be a little salty)
Sour cream
cream cheese
heavy cream
half n' half
mayo
you can add just about anything dairy based to the potatoes and the wiil taste great! Www@FoodAQ@Com
