Can I make my stuffing and keep it in the fridge until I put it in the oven?!

Question: Can I make my stuffing and keep it in the fridge until I put it in the oven!?
I know there's something about stuffing being dangerous when left in the fridge!. Is it after I've stuffed the turkey or when it's separate!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's always safer to cook the stuffing outside the turkey!. That way you can be sure the turkey and the stuffing are cooked thoroughly!. It will be fine to make it ahead and refrigerate it before cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The rule is don't put it in the turkey over night!. The bacteria from the turkey gets into the stuffing and the stuffing doesn't get hot enough to kill it!. But if you put it in the turkey right before it goes in the oven it will be OK!.
You can also make it up ahead and put it in the oven separately - just moisten with chicken broth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No danger, put it in the fridge until ready for cooking!. However you can cook it ahead of time on the stove, cool it down, and put it in the fridge as well, then just warm it up at serving time!.

It depends on the moister content & how cold it is before you put it in the oven!. i would recommend to let it get to room temp, if there are no items in the stuffing that would go off & then put it in & in the oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

After stuffing the turkeyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah its definitely safe!. I just wouldnt leave it in the turkey!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
