Can the turkey breast be removed from an uncooked turkey?!

Question: Can the turkey breast be removed from an uncooked turkey!?
We typically only eat the turkey breast!. Is it possible to just remove the breast from the whole turkey, and cook the breast only!? We received a free turkey!.!.!.!.otherwise we would just buy the turkey breast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes!. You'd need a good, sharp boning knife!. I'd web search de-bone turkey breast for instructions!.

However, why not just cook the whole turkey!? You can always cut the breast meat away from the roasted turkey and just serve that!.

I'm not sure if you are saying that you "never" eat the dark meat, or if you just prefer the breast on a roasted turkey!. If this is so, then you'd have a lot of left over meat to use for: turkey soup, turkey pot pie,
turkey tacos, turkey burritos, turkey salad and on and on!. Or, share the left-over meat with a friend who might enjoy using it!.
