Salad recipe with pomegranate seeds...isn't the white seed inside non chewable?!

Question: Salad recipe with pomegranate seeds!.!.!.isn't the white seed inside non chewable!?
I've come across many salad recipes that listed pomegranate seeds as one of the ingredients!. However, I'm wondering how they can be eaten when there is a small hard white seed that's not exactly chewable!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes, there are many recipes that call for the pomegranate "jewels" and there are people who just eat them, inner seed and all!.

If you don't like the seed, don't put them in the salad!. You can always eat them on the side, then just spit out the seeds!. I don't like the seeds, either, and I only recently found out they're edible!. I can't chew through them, though, and I don't fancy swallowing them, so I just chew on them, then spit it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I feel the same way about the inner seed, but I have several friends who just swallow them, and some who have great teeth and grind them up!. Personally I'd probably substitute something like minced dried cranberries or minced dried cherries!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the seed on the inside is indeed white I thought like you they we're not edible, but I heard someone on tv say that's where all the fiber is!. just eat the pulp and swallow the seed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are super crunchy yes but eadable and chewable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They're sorta crunchy, but I chew them!. Delicious! Like others suggested you can just swallow them whole as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pomegranate seeds are red!. If there is an odd white one, they can just spit it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
