Anyone remember Mr Kippling Bramley Apple pies?!

Peel, core and cut the bramley apples into 8 slices!. Place in a pan and cover with water (Important) just to the top of the apples!. remove the apples and use 2 large teaspoons of white sugar and a tea spoon of baking soda (important to keep that Mr kipling colour) Boil the liquid until reduced by half then add the apples and boil until liquid has evaporated or apples are soft!. Let cool completely and then refridgerate before preparing the pie(s)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bramley apples and cinammon is important, but I found you a recipe online!. Chances are these'll taste even better than Mr!. Kipling's did;

I remember them delicious with custard these do not have cinammon in them just bramley apples stewed in water and sugar to tasteWww@FoodAQ@Com
put your apple in the pan touch of mixed spice (i think this works better than just cinnamon, add your sugar bit at a time and taste frequently too your preferred taste, enjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com
