Here is a simple -no roll out recipe that will be light:
in pie pan mix
1 1/2 cup Flour
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt!. Mix!.
In a measuring cup measure 1/2 cup of light oil and add 2 Tablespoons milk to the oil and mix!. (The milk will form tiny white balls in the oil!.)
Then add the oil to the dry and mix with your fingers!. When all dry ingredients are moist, press the crust out and trim off any excess!. This will do a 9" pie pan!. If your pan is larger or deep dish double the recipe and take off the excess!. The excess crust can be used as a base for crumb topping--add some oats and more sugar or brown sugar and sprinkle across top of pie for a sweet crumble!.
For pumpkin pie follow directions for that pie use crust unbaked!.
for other pies needing a baked crust--bake crust at 425 F for 12-15 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grind 1 whole package of ginger snaps
Add enough melted butter until it holds together when you grab a handful and it sticks together!.
Press into a pie plate and then make your pie as usual!!
Sorry, I never use a recipe but the ratio usually is about 1 cup of crumbs to a pinch less than 1/4 cup melted butter!.
Enjoy, easy as can be!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
