A healthy diet would be a lean protien, some sort of whole grain, a couple of veges!. I've got lots of old postings on easy healthy meals for single folks buried in my old answers!. Feel free to dig around in my old answers!.

A few years ago I started buying large packs of meat - chicken, beef, lamb - whatever - and putting individual servings into freezer bags with my own homemade marinades, putting each type of marinated meat into larger freezer bags that I labeled and putting the whole shebang in the freezer!. So!.!.!.for about four hours of work, I've got three months of marinated single servings of meat that I can thaw in a bowl of warm water in 20 minutes adn cook with whatever side dishes I want - usually something simple like steamed veges and potatoe or brown rice!.

I also often will cook like I'm cooking for 3 or 4, which is definately easier than for one, then packing up the leftovers as 2-3 plates with a full dinner on each and freezing or refrigorating them to microwave for later meals!.

I also make stew and soup bases (the meat and seasoned broth) in quantity and freeze in freezer bags in 2-3 serviing sizes!. When I want stew or soup, I just thaw the base, add whatever veges and starch I want and I've got homemade soup or stew!.

This definately takes longer than TV dinners or chicken fingers to prepare, but is much healthier and better balanced!. If you've got a Trader Joes in your area, check out their prepared foods!. They've got some pretty healthy options and many of the recipies I've developed have come from there!. They also do sampling in their stores of some really interesting combinations of their foods that are generally easy and quick!.

It's hard to teach someone to cook in a single answer here, if you are sincerely interested I suggest you browse a better bookstore in your area looking for easy, healthy meals for singles, find one you like and buy it!. The only way to learn to cook is to practice, practice and practice!.

I can tell you that if you invite a woman over for a homecooked meal (make that a second date, not a first) and blow her socks off with your cooking, you've got it made!. I was once won over when a guy cooked me a pie, from scratch, without using a recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, most guys swear by ramen, but, that doesn't havetoo much nutrition!. So, you could still make ramen, but, add some nutritional stuff!. Put in some lunchmeat, buy some veggies, put that in there!. Potatoes, green beans, crackers, and lunchmeat, plus ramen is pretty nutritious!.!.!. and DELICIOUS!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eggs are pretty easy and quick to make, and nutritious, and you can make them in so many ways! Or sub sandwiches with veggies, not just meat and cheese!. Pizza is okay!. I would try to vary from the fried stuff all the time!. Beans and rice is a great meal if you don't feel like you have to have a meat meal three times a day!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
