Will pickles freeze ?!


Question: Will pickles freeze !?
I have several boxes of all kinds of home made pickles on my back porch, i simply dont have room for them in my new , smaller house!. will they freeze and how low does the temp need to be before they freeze!? Thanks for your help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh, hun!. Do not freeze them! When you unfreeze them they will taste nasty and rotten, plus they will be gushy instead of crisp!. I mean like!.!. wet cotton candy gushy!. A good idea would be to put ribbons on some of them and hand them out as krimmas presents!? :D Or send em to me! I love me some pickles =p haha!. Just ask a friend even if they want them, store them at a family members house, or throw them out!. Do not freeze them and expect to use them later, though!. I am taking it that they have been processed!? if so just leave them in the jar!. I do not like many things as well after being frozen and this would be one thing I would not care for!. I like a crisp pickle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mom tried to freeze pickles (and blueberries) - both turned to mush when defrosted!. Wish you were my neighbor - I love pickles! Maybe you can give some away!Www@FoodAQ@Com
