Question: Where did the tradition of sticking cloves in an orange to make it smell nice come from!?
Answers:
It goes back to the Tudor times in England in the 1600's!. People didn't take baths all the time and it was done to hide the smell of dirty bodies!.

Wish it was something more attractive but check it it, that is right!. Best wishes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not sure WHO came up with it, but I believe it was in the 1950s!.!.!.and I think you need to lay it in a simmering pot of water to release the fragrances!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know it came from the time of Medieval because I had to make a few of those oranges with cloves all over them when I was in Jr!. High (for our medieval faire)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
