How do you eat canned salmon?!
Do you add mayo like with tuna!? I LOVE SALMON and I figured during my pregnancy that would be a good food to eat, but its so expensive!.!.!.but canned salmon is cheaper!. I just have never eaten it before!. Is it good!? How do you prepare it!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use canned salmon often!. It's a staple in my kitchen!.
Open can and remove the bones!. Doesn't matter if you eat them!. They are soft, safe and nutritious!. I prefer no bones!.
Put some canned salmon on a lettuce leaf with a couple of tomato wedges and some salt and pepper!. (I like lemon pepper for this) Enjoy!.
Yes, you can add mayo and make a salmon salad!. I make mine with a little onion, celery and chopped olives!. You can add pickles or whatever you like!.
I also make salmon patties or salmon burgers and salmon and corn chowder!.
Canned salmon is extremely versatile!.

usually with canned salmon you make fried salmon patties
1 can salmon
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon each diced green onion & cilantro (if desired)
about 15 saltines, crushed
open can of salmon & separate to remove bone!. then in a bowl mix together all ingredients by hand!. then form in to patties & fry in a skillet with oil i use canola!. fry until crispy then turn & fry that side as well drain on paper towels & if desired you can get another pan & use a can of red chili sauce & warm it up & soak th patties for a few minutes or serve them plain Www@FoodAQ@Com

Canned salmon is very good for your health!. It has lots of protein, calcium from the bones and omega 3 oils, good for lowering your cholesterol!. You can add a tablespoon or two of low fat mayo and some diced onions!. Spread some on your favourite bread and sprinkle on pepper to taste!. It makes a good sandwich!. I also mix it with cold mashed potatoes and make paddies with it You fry them in butter and oil until golden brown on both sides!. They call these fish cakes!. Very tasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's horrible IMO, not a patch on canned tuna, tends to be full of bones (which might be good for you, being pregnant, as they add a lot of calcium) and has a really strong flavour!. You can add mayo if you want to!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
My Mom used to make yummy salmon patties with it but I haven't been able to successfully recreate them!. I think the stuff looks nasty in the can but it is supposed to be high in calcium from the soft, edible bones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
a good meal of salmon is to make a loaf;
1 can of salmon drained real good
1 egg
broken bread crumbs!. approx 2 cups
minced onion- to taste
seasonings- salt, pepper, a little garlic salt!.
mix well put in loaf pan!. put in oven!.
