Some questions about Collard Greens...?!


Question: Some questions about Collard Greens!.!.!.!?
How do they taste!?
How do I cook them !?
With what do i serve them !?
Do mixed Greens taste better !?
If so, how should the mix look like (what percent from each )!?
I would prefer a recipe w/o meat b/c I'm a vegetarian!.

I'm a German , so that type of food is really new for me!.

Collard greens taste like greens!. Sorry, but spinach and the like!. A little bit more bitter, perhaps, and they take longer to cook than spinach - way longer!.

Cook them with beer, saute'd onion, Louisiana Hot Sauce, garlic!. You'll start out with a lot, so use a large pot!. They will cook down!. Since you're a vegetarian, I'm omiting the fact that I normally cook them with bacon, so if you have something else you'd like to use instead of that, be adventurous!. Collard greens take about 45 minutes or more to simmer down to where you want to eat them!. They sure are good, though!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Aww that is a lot of work to do you would be better off buying the can and putting special seasons in them!. Well that is what my aunt says lol she uses the can but she puts onions in them something called fat back meat or bacon or ham hocksWww@FoodAQ@Com
