Is there any easy way to slice cranberries for a cranberry relish?!

Question: Is there any easy way to slice cranberries for a cranberry relish!?
I want to make one like a restaurant near me!. It has sliced (uncooked) cranberries, chopped or ground oranges with zest, chopped celery and chopped apples!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We make this for Christmas and Thanksgiving all the time!.

We use the food processor with the slicing blade up and pour the cranberries in the top and it just 'slices' them up!. Fairly evenly too!. Then we peel, remove seeds and white stuff off sweet oranges and run them through the food processor grater!. We slice the celery and apples by hand!.

Now keep in mind that cranberries are pretty tart and we didn't like it quite so tart so we add a 1/2 teaspoon salt and a 1/4 cup powder sugar - stirred -just the cranberries- well and let set over night before we added the rest!. We try to make sure the oranges are really sweet too and use Delicious apples which are not a tart apple, too!. We use equal amts of cranberries and oranges - which is usually about 2-1/2 cups of each and then add 1 cup of celery and apple!. Some years we peel the apples but most of the time not!. Just core them and chop!.
Hope this helped! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use my food processor for both the cranberries and the oranges!. Depending upon the firmness of the apples, I'd either chop with a knife (softer apples) or the processor (firmer ones)!. I'd chop the celery with a knife, but others would use the processor!. But I guess I like the celery to keep its shape!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do one like that with out the celery adn with 2/3 cup sugar and I put it in the food processor!. I cut the apple and orange into large bite sized pieces, and pulse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The easiest way would be to partial freeze the cranberries and just slice them up!. they are really easy to control when they are semi frozen!.

Watch your recipe because uncooked cranberries are r-e-a-l-l-y sour!.!.!.!

I would just use a very sharp, small paring knife and a good cutting board!. If the cranberries are cold, they might be easier to slice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

with a knife!.!.!. not a fork or spoon!? try a food processorWww@FoodAQ@Com
