Question: How can I make healthy and easy food!?
I usually rush after work to get fast food and that is just not healthy, its also really expensive!. How can I make healthy food, but easy too!. I don't want to cook expensive ingredients that you need to buy at one of those fancy supermarkets!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Healthy Food is usually very hard to find!. Frozen foods are fast and easy but healthy is not on the list!. At an age of 18 I am really busy and I never have time for an easy fast fat free food!. And buying them at high priced places is unbelievable!. Here an amazing recipe I use when I need to go fast and to help stay on track and healthy!.

Chicken Salad

2 cans of chicken
lettuce
plum tomatoes
celery
brocoli

Mix all the ingrediants in one bowl and you have a healthy delicous meal!. Fast too!.

Best way to cook healthy is to eliminate as much as possible, all the processed foods!. Things like boxed Mac and cheese, canned soups, etc!. , sugary snacks, pre-made roast in the bag stuff, frozen veggies with the sauces already prepared on them, hamburger helpers!.

Make things simple and fresh!. Buy lots of vegetables and fruits and prepare them easily by either grilling them or saute them lightly!.

Make up you own sauces, you know the salt content and you don't have to worry about what additives have been included!.

Make up pots of soup and freeze portions of it!. Soup is a healthy light meal that is filling and usually pretty inexpensive to make!.

It may seem more expensive as you get started coking at home, but once you get the cabinets stocked, after that it is much cheaper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best investment you can make,is invest in a crock-pot!. Throw a whole chicken in the pot and add 1 cup water!. Turn it on, go to work, come home and it's cooked!. Of course if you have more time you could add potatoes, carrots, onions, celery!. Just about all meats I can think of can be cooked like this!. With 2 half chicken breast, 2 legs, could last for 4 meals!. Hot chicken Sanwich, Chicken fried rice, 1 chicken leg with pasta, 1 chicken leg with bbq sauce, potatoes and veggies!. If you can find 1/2 hour on the week-end, cook rice, pasta, and mashed potatoes!. These can stay good in the fridge til Wednesday or Thursday!. Meats=Roast Pork, Stewing Beef, Ham For a roast Ham in the crock-pot!. Put in the ham with 1 cup of water!. It'll be ready when you get home!. Then ham & scalloped potatoes, Ham Jambalya (fry onions, green pepper, celery) add cubed ham , canned tomatoes & 1/2 tsp sage and your cooked rice!. Stir and eat!. Ham pot pie (make a white sauce and mixed vegetable, onions and ham) Put a pie crust on top of casserole (can use bisquick) Ham fried rice!. Ground ham with celery and green onions) for sandwiches!. And boil up the bone and add dried peas, carrots onions celey for a wonderful pea soup!.Soak the peas over night and throw everything in the crock-pot the next morning!.This isn't complicated and would only take you a few hours a month!. Ham pot pie = 4 servings!. Eat one freeze 3!. Jamablaya same thing eat 1 serving freeze 3!. Beef Stew you can make a beef pot pie, just add a bisquik topping and put in a casserole and cook 350 for 1/2 hour!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a big batch of veggie burgers, wrap individually and freeze!.

Make soup or veggie chili and freeze individual portions!.

Invest in a crock pot ($20 to $30 - cheaper than eating fast food for a week) and start your meals in the morning so dinner is waiting for you when you get home!. (It's made my life a LOT easier!) Here's some recipes to get you started!.

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 (11 ounce) cans condensed cream of Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray!. Place chicken breasts inside!. In a medium bowl mix together soup and milk, and pour mixture over chicken!. Season with salt and pepper to taste and garlic powder!.
Cook on High for about 6 hours or on Low all day!. Note: Do not lift lid while cooking! Serve over noodles!. Leftovers can be mixed with the leftover noodles and reheated the next day in the microwave or frozen in single serving portions!.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew

3 pounds cubed beef stew meat
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup baby carrots
4 large potatoes, cubed
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups boiling water
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
3 tablespoons butter
3 onions, sliced
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Place meat in a large plastic bag!. Combine 1/4 cup flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt; pour into the bag with the meat, and shake to coat!.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat!. Add stew meat, and cook until evenly browned on the outside!. Transfer to a slow cooker along with the carrots, potatoes, parsley, and pepper!. In a small bowl, stir together 2 cups of boiling water and dry soup mix; pour into the slow cooker!.
In the same skillet, melt butter and saute onions until softened; remove to the slow cooker!. Pour red wine into the skillet, and stir to loosen browned bits of food on the bottom!. Remove from heat, and pour into the slow cooker!.
Cover, and cook on High for 30 minutes!. Reduce heat to Low, and cook for 6 hours, or until meat is fork tender!. In a small bowl or cup, mix together 2 tablespoons flour with 1/4 cup warm water!. Stir into stew, and cook uncovered for 15 minutes, or until thickened!.
These leftovers reheat really well the next day or can be frozen into single serving portions for later use!.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

2 (10!.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 1/4 cups water
5 1/2 pounds pot roast

In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water!. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture!.
Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low setting for 8 to 9 hours!.
Leftovers make GREAT sandwiches the next day! They also make excellent tacos, enchiladas or can be frozen!.
