Did I forget how to boil eggs?!

Question: Did I forget how to boil eggs!?
Lately, when I try to peel the shell from the egg, it breaks into very tiny pieces and that skin between the shell and the white won't tear!. If I do manage to get a large piece of shell I also take a good sized piece of the white with it!. It now takes me about five minutes to peel one egg!. Is anyone else having this problem!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know, it is so frustrating!. I have never really experienced this that way before, even though I chilled them after boiling!. I suspect that it has to do with the eggs!. It happened to me 3 times in the last month with 2 different types of eggs I had bought!.
Thanks for this question because now I will watch this even more carefully!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make sure your eggs are new, older ones tend to do what your are describing!.!.I boil them in cold water, then let them sit in cold water after they are done and when they are cool to touch I peel them, I do try to get a piece of the skin under the shell so it makes it easier to peel the egg!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

After boiling your eggs, let them sit in very cold water for about 15 mins to rapidly chill them off!. Add ice cubes to the water once in awhile!. Tap the pointed end on the counter and it should peel quite easily!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
