Pork panic!! I have a roast for tonight's meal - is it safe to eat?!
In light of the Irish scare - mine says Great Britain as the source!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Zero risk - concern is only Irish pork and its a theoretical risk since dioxin does not affect humans in same manner!. But your real issue - its only pork products from and labeled ireland!. "The FSA in Ireland today said there was no significant risk to consumers and said added that it was awaiting confirmation as to whether contaminated pork products had been distributed to the UK"!. That's the print from the food advisory - so unless you believe your pork was brought in and some evil trolls relabeled it (just a joke) - no risk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You should be fine!. The Food and Trading standards office say that there is not a great deal of risk at the moment!. Hopefully that is okay!. Ireland, as someone else has stated, is not Great Britain, that covers Scotland, England and Wales!.
also, you would have to eat a lot of it for it to be a problem over a long period of time!. Best buy British and Organic if you can!.
Hope this has put your mind at rest!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
