Hi, I have a pretty silly question about making meals ahead and freezing them?!
My mom got me this really nice glassware set that is safe for the freezer, oven and microwave and it comes with plastic-type lids!. I've been reading recipes for freeze ahead meals like lasagna and casserole and stuff, and they say to wrap the dish in foil or saran wrap and then freeze!. My silly question is, can I just use the lid!? Will it affect how the food freezes or thaws!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are NO silly questions:)
You can use the lid, I would just suggest that you wait for the food to be cold before putting it in the freezer and you can let it thaw with the lid then use the microwave or the oven!.

If the lid is intednded for the freezer, then use it!. But take it off before you put the food in the microwave or oven, so obviously the heat doesn't melt it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If the lids fit REALLY tight, you should be ok!. But if there is room to put a piece of foil or plastic wrap in between the dish and the lid, even better so you don't get freezer burn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If the lid doesn't go on tightly enough, you better wrap it tightlyWww@FoodAQ@Com
sure you can use the lid!.!.!.it seals, right!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
if you dont wrap it well, the water will freeze and kill tissues!. freezer burnWww@FoodAQ@Com
