How can I make Linguine with White Clam Sauce?!

Clam Sauce with Linguine --
INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package linguine pasta
1/2 cup butter
3 cloves chopped garlic
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 (6!.5 ounce) cans chopped clams with juice

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil!. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain!.

Meanwhile prepare the sauce!. Combine clams with juice, butter or margarine, vegetable oil, minced garlic, parsley, basil, and pepper in a large saucepan!. Place over medium heat until boiling!. Serve warm over pasta!.

I take a whole head of garlic!. Peel it and slice it real fine!. Put about 2 ounces of olive oil in a sauce pan and add the garlic under low heat!.
Add 2 cans of minced clams after garlic has been cooking, but do not let garlic brown, turn the heat to medium!. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil and add your linguine!. Adjust water to a medium boil and set timer for ten minutes!. When clam sauce starts to simmer add a tbl spoon of parsley flakes and 1/2 tsp of black pepper and a pinch or 2 of Oregano!.
When time for water is up, test pasta, you want it aldente, if it's not done enough let it boil for another minute!. When done, drain the pasta in a colander and rinse under cold water!. Serve the pasta in a bowl and cover with a ladle full of the clam sauce!. Sprinkle a good amount of Parmesan or Romano grated cheese over the pasta and serve with a glass of dry white wine and garlic bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

GO WITH KATIE T's answer! She doesn't use butter which is great because butter is not healthy!!! I would take Katie's recipe & bake it with salmon in the oven @ 450 for about 11 minutes (or until you like it)!.!.!. then serve over your pasta! A little more protein & a bit more filling!Www@FoodAQ@Com
