whats the problem with using ur handsWww@FoodAQ@Com

it's all in the wrist kid!. I've been a chef for 30 years and it will happen!. The idea is that it is one fluid motion!. You bring your arm back to you slightly, with the elbow bent and locked, then shuffle the food forward, catching it on the way down!.
In time you'll be doing omelets, whole skillets full of sauteed veggies, etc!. Practice at home!. Put a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a clean skillet and flip it over the counter!.
You need confidence that's all!.
And by the way, it is not just for show, although a grilled cheese sandwich flip might be a showy part!.
It actually turns all the loose veggies you are sauteing quickly and with a minimum of disruption!.
But get the sandwiches down first or stock up on paper towels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

edit: if you're trying to learn to flip using a spatula just get your a single piece of bread and practice!. It's not too difficult once you get the move down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Um!.!.!.you ever heard of TONGS or a FORK !?

Spatula's are simple!.!.there's nothing wrong with them !.!.just move the food to the edge of the pan and then flip it with a fork, spatula or some tongs!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

with the pan in your hands first give it a round to see it is not stuck then give the pan a push infront of you push up it turns and back on the panWww@FoodAQ@Com

Put some dried peas or beans in an old saute pan and practice, practice, practiceWww@FoodAQ@Com
