Refrigerate or freeze leftover uncooked chicken breast?!

Question: Refrigerate or freeze leftover uncooked chicken breast!?
I am going to the grocery store in a little while!. They have boneless skinless chicken breast on sale buy one get one free!. It's the refrigerated Publix chicken breast!. However, I live alone and only need to cook one breast!. Do I keep the rest in the fridge or do I freeze them or do I have to cook them all then just refrigerate them until I want them!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
When you open the pack, separate the chicken into freezer bags (one breast per bag)!. Leave out the one you want for dinner!. Freeze the rest!. It is extremely convenient to keep them in freezer bags because you can take what you need, when you need it!. Be sure to plan your meals in advance so that you can thaw the chicken in the fridge overnight before you cook it!. Thank God for ziploc bags!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook it all if you have the time, then freeze it in single servings!.
When you defrost it in your refrigerator then you'll just have to warm it up or can eat it cold!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's safer to freeze it until your ready to cook it and eat it!. make sure when you defrost it to do it under cold water not hot!. hot water it cause bacteria!. and you will get sickWww@FoodAQ@Com

Freeze them seperately so you can thaw them as you need or like!. I would use foil and then put them in a zip loc bag to avoid freezer burn!.
You can even season some and marinade them so they burst with flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends how soon you want to eat the second!. 2 days then cook both and save on in the fridge!. longer put one uncooked in a ziplock bag in the fridge!. lasts for weeks!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the chicken is not frozen at time of purchase and only kept in the refrigerated section at the store you can freeze whatever you dont use!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can't thaw them and then re-freeze if its been previously frozen!.

I would freeze them all in individually wrapped packets (just enough that you want to cook at one time)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can freeze them without any problem!. Put each breast in a plastic bag and freeze that way you can thaw out what you need as you go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
