It depends on how much time you have and how much work you want to do!.
If you're working, you can get a roast chicken from the store and add a nice salad, roasted asparagus and some bread/butter!.

I made a great stroganoff by throwing chopped tenderloin or beef in the crock pot!. I threw in what I had, onions, garlic, potatoes or carrots and one packet of stroganoff mix from the grocery store!. I let that simmer on slow for 8 hours or high for 3-4 hours!. Add 16 oz!. of sour cream and stir!.

I added the stroganoff to cooked egg noodles and accompany it with whatever veg you have available!. Yummm!

You can pick a theme and add to it!. Italian, a nice salad with olives, tomatoes, Italian sausages, salami, etc!. Saute green beans in Italian dressing or a platter of sliced tomatoes fanned with slices of mozzarella cheese (the unprocessed ones shaped in balls) alternating slices of cheese and tomatoes!.

The main dish can be a premade or frozen lasagne!. Add some crusty bread and butter or cheese and your good to go!.

Let dessert be something easy like a cheese cake, pie or ice cream and add your own fruity toppings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This one is easy and uses ingredients found in nearly any kitchen:

Pear or Apple Cake

3 medium pears or apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ginger or 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger or cinnamon
1 cup hot tap water

Directions

Choose pears or apples, if you pick pears use the ginger, for apples use the cinnamon!.
There are two parts to this recipe, the cake and the topping!.
To make the cake: Lightly grease an 8-inch square or 9-inch round pan!. Place the fruit in the pan, and sprinkle it with the lemon juice!.
In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, baking powder, spice, and salt till smooth!. Beat in the egg, then add the flour alternately with the milk (1/2 cup flour, the milk, remaining 1/2 cup flour), beating after each addition!. Spoon the batter over the fruit in the pan, spreading it to mostly cover!.
To make the topping: Whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, salt, and spice!. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter, then carefully pour the hot water over all!.

It will puddle on top; that’s OK!.

Bake the cake in a preheated 375°F oven for about 60 minutes, until it’s nicely browned on the top!.
Remove it from the oven, and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!.

Yield: 8 to 9 servings!.
