Question: Dessert recipes for a crock pot (slow cooker)!?
Is this true!? Are there really dessert recipes for the crock pot, also known as a slow cooker!?

Peach Dump Cake
2 cups frozen peaches, sliced (undrained)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
18 ounces Jiffy white cake mix (or 1/2 package of a 2-layer size cake mix)
4 tablespoons melted butter
Directions

Lightly grease the slow cooker/Crock Pot; place peaches in the bottom!.

Sprinkle with cornstarch; toss!.

Sprinkle with cinnamon then cake mix!.

Drizzle with vanilla and sprinkle brown sugar over all!.

Apple Pecan Bread Pudding

1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
3 eggs
8 slices raisin bread, diced
2 cups half-and-half or milk
2 medium green apples
1/4 cup bourbon or brandy
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Heat oven to 350 degrees F!.

Spread pecans in a shallow baking pan and bake until golden, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally!.

Meanwhile, place bread cubes in a greased crock pot!.

Peel, core and thinly slice the apples

Mix lightly together the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, add eggs and mix well!. Blend in half-and-half or milk and then stir in bourbon or brandy!.

Lightly mix pecans with bread and apples!.

Pour egg mixture over bread!. Drizzle with butter!. Cover and cook on LOW until apples are tender when pierced and custard is set - about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours!. Let pudding stand, covered, for about 15 minutes!.

Serve warm with ice cream, if desired!.



Easy Peach Cobbler

2 pounds fresh or canned peaches, sliced
2/3 cups oats
2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cups light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 cup softened butter or margarine

4 bananas, peeled and sliced
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup shredded coconut

DIRECTIONS
Layer sliced bananas in the bottom of a slow cooker!.
Combine butter, brown sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon in a small bowl; pour over bananas!.
Cover and cook on Low for 2 hours!. Top bananas with walnuts and coconut during the last 30 minutes of cooking!.
FOOTNOTE
1 teaspoon rum extract may be substituted for 1/4 cup rum!.

***Minister's Delight***

1 (21 ounce) can cherry or apple pie filling
1 (18!.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS
Place pie filling in a 1-1/2 qt!. slow cooker!. Combine dry cake mix and butter (mixture will be crumbly); sprinkle over filling!. Sprinkle with walnuts if desired!. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours!. Serve in bowls!.

****Pumpkin Pie Pudding****

INGREDIENTS
1 (15 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup biscuit/baking mix
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
whipped topping

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients!. Transfer to a slow cooker coated with nonstick cooking spray!. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees F!. Serve in bowls with whipped topping if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crockpot Apple Pie
8 Tart Apples peeled and sliced
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter soften
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup Bisquick

Topping
1 cup Bisquick
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons cold butter

Toss apples in large bowl with cinnamon, allspice, and
nutmeg!. Place in lightly greased crockpot!. Combine milk, softened butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and the 1/2 c Bisquick!. Spoon over apples!. Combine the 1 cup Bisquick and brown sugar!. Cut the cold butter into mixture until crumbly!. Sprinkle this mixture over top of apple mixture!. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or until apples are soft!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
