Cheater Stromboli

Frozen bread dough, thawed
Assorted lunch meats and cheeses
Butter
Diced onion and green pepper (optional)
Egg

Saute' the onion and pepper in the butter!.
Spread the dough out on a greased cookie sheet!. Spread the onion and peppers if using them, alternately layer the meats and cheeses down the center!. Tuck the ends of the bread over, and bring the sides of the dough together in the middle!. FLIP the whole thing over so the seam is on the bottom!. Cut 3 or 4 slashes diagonally on the top!.
I usually use an egg wash on the top and sides and sprinkle with Italian seasoning (just for looks)!.
Bake at 350' for about 40 mins or until the bread is golden!.
Cool on pan!.

also delicious served with pizza sauce!. Room temp is fine!.
I make this and bake so I can take out right before leaving, but if you have to travel, wrap loosely in foil!. It's also easier if you slice it beforehand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
