Can other liquids be added to melting chocolate?!

Question: Can other liquids be added to melting chocolate!?
Is it possible to add ingredients such as butter or liquid to melting chocolate and will it still set when cooled!? I've found lots of recipes but they all say the chocolate will 'seize' if liquid is added!. I'd like to make some chocolate sweets for Christmas but don't want to ruin the chocolate while melting!. Advice would be much appreciated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Adding equal parts cream to melted chocolate is how you make chocolate ganache!. You can roll it into balls when cool or whip to make a mousse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
