Can anyone help with once a week cooking side dishes?!

Question: Can anyone help with once a week cooking side dishes!?
I know I can freeze mashed potatoes, but so far that's the only thing I can think of or have found on the sites I've been on!. I would really like to make a vegetable side dish, but don't know if that's even good to freeze!. Any help or referral to a website that you like would be really appreciated!. I've never done this before but am excited to try it!. Thank you for anything you can tell me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

30 Day Gourmet offers lots of freezing info!.

The Broccoli Rice Cheese casserole should freeze nicely!. Bake up a test batch and try it out on family!.

also, you can cook veggies in the oven along side your thawed frozen meal!. Place the veggies in a casserole dish, add a bit of water, add a bit of butter, optional but good, and cover!. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the veggies are heated through!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi, I'm a food service supervisor at a health care facility!. We use a lot of frozen stuff!. Honestly, you can freeze just about anything!. Such as spinach casseroles or even pasta salad!. (note, for the pasta salad, just don't add the dressing until you unthaw and are ready to serve) If there is something in particular you are hoping to freeze but are unsure about, try making a very small batch, like maybe one serving, then test freezing!. Try that with everything, and then you'll see what can and can not be frozen!. Almost all soups freeze well, as do chili and stews!. The main thing is to use air tight containers and try to get as much air OUT of the container as possible before you freeze it!. Good Luck!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know about cooking then freezing a vegetable side dish, when you could just buy frozen veggies!. But I know that rice freezes real well!. Even fried rice, which does have vegetables!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
