Question: Help! Lid stuck on pot!?
my lid is stuck to my pot! can't pry it open help what to doWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The lid is stuck because of several reasons:

1!. Was it the right fit!?
2!. Is there a "suction" that's been created!?
3!. Is there something that's leaked onto the surface between the lid and the pot!?

Ok, if the pot is full and it hot, let it cool!. Gradually turn the lid if you can, while being careful not to spill the contents!. This might release the suction thats been created!. If that doesn't work, try tapping on the lid in several areas to release the suction!. If that doesn't work, See if you can release the suction by inserting a thin knifeblade etc!. between the pot and the lid!. If the lid is stuck because of a substance thats stuck on the surfaces, put the lid and pan under hot water to "melt" the materials!. You can also try using soap and water!. If you're talking crazy glue stuck, then get some fingernail polish and use a q-tip to try to unstick!. Be sure and wash everything well afterwards!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you can get any part of it out, take the oil from your corners of your nose like you would with a saxophone and rub it on!. push it back in, and it will slide out!.
or baby powder!.
TURN YOUR STOVE OFF AND PUT NEWSPAPER DOWN (if you don't want a mess)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

fill one side of your kitchen sink with cold water, the colder the better!. Add ice cubes if possible!. Now pour hot water on the lid!. Between expansion and contraction, I would think it would come apart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

put the pot upside down in the sink turn on the hot water!.
and let it run over the pot for a minute or so!.

than use a large fork and a spatula to handle it and pry the lit offWww@FoodAQ@Com

if its upside down!.!. if other way turn off the stove!.

upside down: get a fork or knife and slide it into the slot on the lid and it should be able to lift up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

umhhhhhh lol use a knife or throw it out!. ps do ur dishes more often lol jkWww@FoodAQ@Com
