Egg substitutions ?!
Im making brownies and I need a egg and I don't have one!. This might sound stupid but is there like something I can use instead!. I really want brownies!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use ground flaxseed, its available in the grocery stores!. Excellant source of omega 3
Substitutions:
2 tbsp cornstarch = 1 egg
2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg
2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg
1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg!.
1 banana = 1 egg in cakes!.

As weird as it sounds, you can use 1/4 cup of mayonnaise or 1 cup of applesauce!. You will not be able to tell the difference!. The mayo will produce a slightly richer brownie than the applesauce, but both work just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
