Ok, first with the salmon, you may not realize it but many sushi places blow torch their fish to ensure themselves of not poisoning the buyers!. If you are that adventurous here are some tips!. Never EVER buy fish on Mondays, they don't get fresh fish on mondays!. When you get the fish, ask the monger to cut the salmon skin off for you and put it back in the bag!. (Fried salmon skin makes an excelent snack later) When you get home use a cutting board that you don't use i repeat don't use for non raw meats!. Make sure you get a knife bigger than the fillet itself and slice at a 45 degree angle!. With the rice, get 1 cup of sticky rice to 1 cup of water!. When preparing the rice, use white vinigar!. Wash your hands after dealing with raw meats!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go to a well known fish market and buy sushi grade tuna or salmon or what ever fish you like!. If it smells fishy, don't buy it, it is not fresh!. For the rice, a one to one cup of rice/water ratio should work!. After the rice is cooked, spread it out flat and drizzle with rice wine vinegar!. Roll a ball of the sushi in your hand and top with the fish slice!. Many sushi chefs put a small dot of wasabi underneath the fish slice!. Your choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice the salmon thinly and then chop!. At your local asian store you will find the right rice (sticky rice) And buy only the best wraps! I hope this helps! And Bon-Apetite!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would be very careful with the raw salmon!. Both wild and farmed salmon is known to carry a tapeworm that is generally killed in -31o Farenheit or when the salmon is cooked!. The tapeworm will transfer to a human and becomes the largest tapeworm a human can get!.

I do know, out where we live, there are people who know that raw salmon will kill dogs - they said it will poison them - but it could be the tapeworm - I'm not sure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
