What are some side dishes that compliment a main dish of Teriyaki Salmon? ?!
Answers:
I love aspargus with almost all fish!. With lighter fish, steaming is probably wise, but you could probably get away with frying and or carmelizing it with salmon and tuna!. A hearty brown rice mix is good, I liked cous cous last time I tried it!. If you wanted to move away from the spa food motiff you could try garlicy mashed potatoes!. They go with almost everything (and most of these add a nice contrast when plating it)!.
Because of the sweetness, you could try something like a nice mix of roast root crops (especially turnips which will add tartness)!.
If you wanted a seafood theme, some sort of pasta and shellfish salad would probably be nice!. If not I love mixed greens with a sweet vinagirette is a nice start!.
While not a side dish, if you know of a slightly fruity (rather than oaky) chardonnay (white Burgandy), cook the fish with some and serve, for an exquisite taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make Teriyaki Salmon all the time (ironically last night) and I usually make a organic salad mix (frisee, baby lettuces, radicchio, etc) and add creative touches like crushed ramen noodles sauteed in olive oil(crunch), chopped pecans or walnuts, sliced tomatoes (roma or vine-ripe) Salad dressing blasmic vinegarette or Sesame ginger
Mashed potatoes (red potatoes)or garlic mashed potatoes
Baked sweet potato
Spinach salad/
Brocolli Slaw/coleslaw -if you don't want to use a traditional cole slaw dressing use a little teriyaki sauce and tossWww@FoodAQ@Com

Stir-fried vegetables go well with the kind of oriental theme
Rice - brown is nice and healthy or mix brown and white together to get a tasty compromise
Steamed vegetables go well, especially green ones like mange-tout or sugar-snap peas as the sweetness compliments the sweetness of the TeriyakiWww@FoodAQ@Com
