What SUPER EASY sauce recipes do you have for baked fish?!


Question: What SUPER EASY sauce recipes do you have for baked fish!?
I'm a no fuss no muss kind of cook!. I make casseroles and crock pot dinners for me and my four kiddos!. I would like to know if there are salad dressings or condiments other than tarter sauce that would be great for baked fish, seared scallops or shrimp!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
sauce to use (after you've cooked the meats)

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup yogurt (or sour cream)
juice of one lemon
1 crushed/minced garlic bud
1/2 peeled and grated small cucumber (1/4 cup)
salt and black pepper to taste

mix mayo, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic and cucumber together!.!. add salt and black pepper to taste!.!.
serve over cooked meats!.!. mmmm!!.!. it has a nice garlicy cooling taste!.!.
(start with 1/2 of the garlic if you arent a garlic fan , then if its not too potent, you could add the other half, I love garlic some people dont)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here's a TNT recipe!.

Baked Fish with Mushrooms
1 lb!. fish fillets, 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick
2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
? cup sliced green onions, 4
? teaspoon tarragon, crushed
paprika
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F!.

Thaw fish, if frozen!. Rinse fish and pat dry with paper towels!. Cut into 4
serving-size pieces, if necessary!. Arrange fish in a 2-quart baking dish,
turning under thin edges!. Sprinkle with salt!.

In a small saucepan melt margarine; add mushrooms, onions and tarragon!.
Cook over medium heat till tender!. Spoon mushrooms mixture over fish;
sprinkle with paprika!. Bake, covered, in a 450 degree oven for 12 to 18
minutes or till fish flakes easily with a fork!.

Serves 4!.

GINGER-LIME SAUCE:

6 tbsp!. butter
1 tbsp!. fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tsp!. finely grated ginger root

In a small saucepan over low heat melt butter and stir in lime juice and ginger root!.

LEMON BUTTER SAUCE:

1/3 c!. butter
1/3 c!. slivered almonds
1 tbsp!. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp!. lemon juice

Place all ingredients in 2 cup glass measure!. Microwave about 2 minutes on high, or until butter is melted!. Stir and continue cooking 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on high or until lightly browned!. Serve over fillets!. 4 to 6 servings!.

CILANTRO SAUCE

1 bunch fresh cilantro
2 tbsp!. olive oil
1 tbsp!. distilled white vinegar (or lemon or lime juice)
2 tbsp!. water
2 scallions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Remove the cilantro leaves and chop them very finely!. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the oil, vinegar, water, scallions and garlic!. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate before serving!.

SHRIMP WITH SWEET AND SOUR PINEAPPLE
SAUCE

1 1/2 lb!. med!. shrimp shelled
1/2 c!. flour
1/2 tsp!. salt

Sauce:

3 tbsp!. brown sugar
1/2 c!. pineapple juice
1 tbsp!. cornstarch
2 1/2 tbsp!. vinegar
2 eggs beaten
16 oz!. pineapple chunks
oil for frying
1/2 c!. water
1/4 tsp!. salt
2 tbsp!. ketchup
2 drops Tabasco

Combine flour and salt!. Stir in beaten eggs and mix well!. Add shrimps to this thick batter!. Fry shrimps until light brown!. Reserve juice from pineapples!. Place shrimps on serving platter and garnish with pineapple!. Heat all sauce ingredients and pour over shrimp and pineapple!. Serve with fried rice!. Serves 4!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

One very tasty sauce is melted butter with lemon juice!. You can also add a few slices of lemon to garnish the fish!. Parsley also makes a nice garnish!. Presto! A great tasting good looking dish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being from WA state we eat lots of fish!.Go to your grocery store find the packet sauces by Knor,my favorites on any fish is Bearnaise or lemon dill kids like that one, They have several, And of course malt vinegar is good on fish and chips!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sour cream sauces:
1/2 c sour cream
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp blackpepper
1 tbsp flour
