What herbs/seasoning can I use to substitute for Thyme in recipes?!
I really cannot tolerate it but many of the recipes I would love to try call for this herb/seasoning and I'd like to find a good substitute!. Same thing with Rosemary!. Any help would be great!

A sage and oregano blend would work nicely to substitute thyme!.

Have you tried basil!?
Or bay leaves!?
To me, basil is pretty good on a lot of meats!. Fresh basil is delicious!. You can use whole dried bay leaves in many slow cook recipes (stews, soups, roasts, etc) and just scoop out the whole leaves when it's done cooking, it is a very good way to delicately flavor something but not too strong of a flavor!.
To be honest, I generally use what seasonings I have on hand!. So if I don't have what the recipe calls for, I just start sniffing whatever spices I have in the cabinet and use whatever smells right for the recipe!. That technique might work for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
