A different veggie than spinach?!

Question: A different veggie than spinach!?
I'm making a white sauce lasagna for dinner and the recipe calls for spinach but I'm not a fan so I was trying to think of something other than that because I don't want to just skip the vegs!.
I don't really like greens either (just to make it a little harder)
I was thinking about broccoli but I'm not sure how it will turn out!.
Any suggestions!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Brocolli has a strong flavor that will most likely overpower the rest of your lasagne!. If you don't mind that, then go for it! However, I'd take a look at possibly using:

1!. Chopped fresh basil and parsley
2!. Cauliflower florets, (chopped into smaller pieces)
3!. Eggplant (breaded and sauteed or sliced thin)
4!. Arugula (salad green but can be used)

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook some cauliflower and puree it and add it to your white sauce, you will get all the benefits of adding veggies but it won't change the taste of your lasagna, (the white sauce is also nice with cheese added to it!.) Good Luck!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

hmmmm no greens!.OK!

zucchini, bell peppers- all colors to make it colorful, eggplant, ya sure bout brocoli, cuz it tastes gr8 wen boiled!.also there is squash, rutabaga, mushrooms, stringbeans

hope i helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go with the spinach, the seasonings in the lasagna will change the way it tastes!. If you don't dwell on it, you will hardly know there is spinach in there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd try a blend of veggies, like shredded zuchinni, carrots, chopped bell peppers, and maybe a little spinach so it won't taste so much like spinach!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could add some Kale or Chard instead of spinach!. But seeing as how you don't like greens you may not like that either!. I would just omit the spinach in that case!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you sauteed the finely chopped broccoli!.!.!. and added it in the place of the spinach it would probably work just fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

Fine sliced courgettes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
