Question: Do you need to brown the mince b4 putting it in slow cooker!?
making mince (obviously) in the slow cooker!. but never done it before, do i need to brown the mince proir to putting it in!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should do but I have done it from raw before when I haven't had the time to brown the mince first and it doesn't really make any difference apart from the colour, also I have found the meat to be softer too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You get more flavour and you cannot get food poisoning, and if you use 80% I still would leaves some of the fat, the leaner does tend to dry out and even with Spag Bol, it will be tasteless and dry, a mix of 50% mince beef and mince pork!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
