Lunchbox ideas for someone who doesn't like sandwiches?!
I'm a very fussy eater which makes lunch boxes a bit of a problem!. I don't like sandwiches, wraps or that sort of thing and I also find salads really boring!. I would buy stuff from the canteen but the line is always so long and I just end up buying junk like a sausage roll!.
Anything that could be prepared beforehand and just chucked in would be really good!. I like a lot of savoury stuff but can't have anything too cheesy because I'm allergic (a little bit is ok)!. Any ideas for morning tea, lunch and after school that is quick and easy would be much appreciated!. (websites welcome)
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most of these can work as lunch or after school snacks!.
For your morning tea, buy tea samplers!. Each box has about 4 or 5 bags of 4 or 5 different flavors!. These flavors are usually all related!. For example they'll have a green tea sampler, a chai tea sampler, a fruit tea sampler and so forth!.
*If you have access to a microwave or hot water try ramen noodles, cup o' soup, and prepared pasta dishes like chef boyarde!.
*Make fried rice at home take it to school and heat it!.
*Yogurt with fruit
*Pizza
*Hummus with veggies
*Veggies and blue cheese salad dressing
*bean salad
*hard boiled eggs
*cheese and crackers
*steamed broccoli
*tunafish salad
*pasta salad
*lox and bagel
*fruit
*pop corn
*tortilla chips and salsa
These are just a few ideas!. Hope this helps!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chicken Nuggets are great!. You can eat them cold or you can toss them in the microwave!.
I'm assuming where you are doesn't have freezer that you have access to, so microwave meals would be bad!.
If you have a milk machine, (like a pop machine but for milk) then I would advice taking dry cereal!. You can add the milk later if you are so inclined!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you didn't say if you have a microwave around or not!. There are lots of tv dinners now out there that are delicious!. Do you have a refrigerator you can store those in till lunch!? Tv dinners run from anything like mac and cheese to fish to meats to souflays to a lunch of veggies and rice or you can make ahead a pile of tunafish salad or chicken salad or egg salad and some fresh fruit or things like celery with peanut butter on it, and top off the lunch with healthy cookies with raisins in them, you can take chips or fries or tortia chips and some salsa!. Find yourself a soft drink machine!. There's always juices you can take with you or there are things like kool aid or orange drink in a powdered form that are great but sometimes you can have just plain water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to fix rice and pasta (whole grain, not the refined stuff!) and have ready in the fridge!. The I make rice or pasta salad, or mix with a favorite sauce (try olive oil, garlic, chopped spinach, and olives; tomato, onion, roasted peppers, olive oil; jarred tomato sauce, fresh mushrooms, chopped zucchini) and heat when it's time to have lunch!.
also, leftover soups or casseroles can be put in sealed containers and carried!. If you don't like salads, try vegetable trays - bag up a handful of prepared veggies and carry with you!. These keep the hunger pangs at bay mid-morning by filling you up with fiber!. Pair them with some cheese and you will have a good filling snack!.
After school, try fruit and yogurt - plain Greek yogurt with some berries or sliced stone fruits, like peaches or plums make for a really good snack!.
also try the old stand-by, milk and biscuits!. Just make sure the milk is 1% or skim milk and the biscuits (cookies) are graham crackers or animal crackers!. These will be lower in fat and sugar!. The only thing better would be some oatmeal cookies, but make sure they are low in fat and sugar - some can be more than chocolate chip or peanut butter!
As for savory, try roasting some root veggies with just a little bit of olive oil and some plain sea salt and black pepper!. Cut into medium dice or any shape you like, as long as it's pretty uniform, and mix in a bowl with just a couple teaspoons or so of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste!. Spread on a sheet pan and bake in a hot (400-425 degrees farenheight) oven 15-20 minutes!. These make great chips/fries without the frying!. Use potato, parsnip, carrot, sweet potato, or anything you like!. Serve warm or cold!.
I hope this answers your question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
