Right, I've just had what I call a "Ready Steady Cook" moment! I usually get them when I'm rummaging through the Reduced to Clear shelves in ASDA!.

Firstly, I'd finely chop the onion, tomato and peppers, add some mixed Mediterranean herbs and fry them together into a basic tomato sauce (it's actually called a "sofrito" in Spain)!.

Then I'd divide the sauce up and have some of it with the chicken with some boiled rice, some of it with the tuna with some boiled pasta, and also use some of both the chicken in sauce and tuna in sauce as toppings on a couple of jacket potatoes!.

Obviously, a lot depends on how much of everything you've got but, theoretically, that's 4 different (and IMHO rather nice sounding) meals!.

PS!. I'm tempted to get some chicken and a couple of peppers and try this for real myself next week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Gazpacho(Salad Soup) Recipe
Ingredients And Procedures

2 cloves garlic

2 white bread slices

1 cucumber -- sliced

1/2 green bell pepper

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup olive oil

2 pounds tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup pimientos -- chopped

1 teaspoon salt

black pepper -- to taste 2 tablespoons wine vinegar

3 cups vegetable stock, condensed -- * see note

1/2 cup fresh herbs -- ** see note

* Use low-sodium chicken stock or broth if vegetable stock is not available!. ** For herbs, use your choice of chives, parsley, basil, or tarragon!. All ingredients should be as fresh as possible!.

1!. Crush garlic in bowl and add bread which has been torn into small pieces!. This helps give the soup consistency!. Add sliced cucumber, diced green pepper, water and olive oil!. Allow this mixture to marinate for several hours!. 2!. Add cut-up tomatoes, onions, pimiento and salt to chilled mixture!. Blend in blender or food processor until the texture you prefer!. Chill thoroughly!. 3!. Just before serving, mix in vinegar, cold stock and herbs!. For added color, flavor and texture, garnish with garlic croutons, watercress or lime slices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fry the onion, peppers and chicken, then add in a tin of tomatoes with some herbs (oregano, thyme, basil and marjoram are good)!. Add some cooked pasta!.

Same as above (with or without onion and peppers) but put tuna in to make a tuna pasta bake!. If you have any bread add some breadcrumbs on top, or you can use a bit of broken cereal (cornflakes, bran flakes) or broken crisps!. If you have any cheese, sprinkle some on top!.

Mmm, garlic bread!. You could always have that with the salad as your carb!. Hope those ideas help!. I'm hungry now!

Potatoes can be boiled, cut into slices and cooked in the oven with a bit of oil and lots of herbs!. You could cook the chicken separately with some veg!.

If you have enough salad bits, you could make a chicken or tuna salad - add in a bit of cooked potato for carb!.

You could do a stir fry: chicken, pepper, onion, tomatoes - before the end add in some cooked rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook a lot of the rice!. Saute the chicken, peppers, and onion until done!. Mix them all together with tomatoes!. Use your herbs etc to spice it up!.

Cook the pasta and add the tuna and some salad dressing or olive oil if you have it!. Bake the potatoes and put some of the chicken rice on top!.

Eat the garlic bread with any salad you can put together!.

Pull out something from your freezer each day and just use it up!.

You should be good for up to a week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds almost like a meal to me!

Saute' your green peppers and onion in oil or butter in a large fry pan!. Garlic if you have it (minced, not powdered) Add your canned tomato and simmer (don't drain) While simmering, add chicken (if cooked add late, if raw add early) and serve over pasta with garlic bread!.

Rice and tuna go well with eachother!. Add your salad bits and fresh tomato to the top or on bottom!.

Potato!.!.!.hmmm!. Twice baked taters make for a good meal!. Potato soup is also good with a can of creamed corn added at the last minute!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut the onion, peppers and potato small, throw it in a pan with the tinned tomatoes and simmer that down a bit with the herbs until it's a bit thicker!. Fry the chicken a little bit and add it in and serve that tomato-ey goodness over some rice or pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I got a great one for ya called Chicken-good and plenty /

You take a chicken and cook it with good and plenty's
Before cooking you stuff the chicken with butter finger candy bars!.
Add a little Pez as a garnish and you are ready to roll!.
Its a meal set for kings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

With the ingredients u list, u can b as creative as u like!. I do note ur comments about being frugal, just the same I would ADD 2
further ingredients, which I consider 2 b ESSENTIAL stock cupboard items!. Bear in mind, both will last for months on end
- A jar of Pataks Curry PASTE e!.g!. Korma or Madras (2 suit ur palate)
- A small jar of (Swartz or similar) Chinese 5 Spice powder
As I said earlier, the options u have, with the ingredients u have
r considerable - b adventurous, use ur imagination
Apart from the Indian and Chinese dimension/slant I'm suggesting
The use of herbs(which u have) can drastically alter the flavour of a finished dish
Go on, spoil urselfWww@FoodAQ@Com

grill the chicken in herbs and oil then cook the pasta on a pan brown the onions adding herbs and pepper then puree the tomato then add all the ingredients into a bowl sprinkeling the salad over the topWww@FoodAQ@Com

Make up your own dish!. Dont know wot youd call it but put a bit of everything in a wok, cook it up and serve it on the rice or pasta with garlic bread!. Yum!. Call it wot you like!Www@FoodAQ@Com
