Red potatoes & a mini onion ?!

Question: Red potatoes & a mini onion !?
Hi!. I have 2 very small red potatoes & a small onion!. I have a 10 month old and I've been experimenting w/diff!. foods for her!. She's had soups with onions in them & did fine!. I don't want to add salt or use oils or anything!. I only bought 2 tiny ones just to see if she'd like them!. So, I was wondering how could I go abt cooking the potatoes & then mashing them up & having onion in it too, making it as soft as it would be in soup!?

Am I making sense!? I want to use both potatoes & the onion if possible!. Even if just for flavor--I could take it out at the end!.

Any ideas!? Obviously I'm not the world's best cook!. Just no oils or bad stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
the only way I could do that with no oil is to boil the potatoes with the onion in the water for falvor and then smash them but u should take the onion out if it is not soft!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make her a tiny pot of potato soup and add the onions in and let them boil and get soft!. She can even eat the broth from the soup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

just try it out but just give your daughter a taste on a spoon and see if she likes it or spits it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
