Question: How can I make a pasta bake with these ingredients!. I pretty much need the base for the sauce really!.!?
Okay so I'm going to put in it; Pasta, Chicken, Mushrooms, Parsley and Cherry Tomatoes!.
I need help with a base!. I have Tomato Puree, Diced Tomatoes, Ricotta and Chicken Stock!. I also have a cream of chicken and mushroom soup if that helps!.!.!.
What can I use!? ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I'd go with the mushroom soup!. Leave out the flour and oil, just use about 1/2 cup of milk to thin down the soup a bit!. add the rest of your ingredients, stir and bake!. sounds good to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make a simple tomato sauce by cutting the cherry tomatoes in half and cooking them down!. Add the puree, diced tomatoes and parsley and simmer; you can probably get a pretty delicious sauce just out of that!. You can add a little of the stock if you need to thin it out!.

You could probably mix that sauce with the pasta, mushrooms and ricotta in a casserole dish and bake!.

I have never (and never will) cook with cream of xxxxxxx soup; whatever it may be!. It's so easy to use fresh ingredients; those cream soups are loaded with sodium and preservatives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is my favorite Pasta Sauce that I have been making for years!
(This recipe divides by thirds easily for making a smaller quantity!.)

Ingredients:
2 lg!. onions, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
3/4 chopped celery
1 bunch parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
3 T!. oil
3 (28 oz!.) cans tomatoes, cut up, and juice
1 (8 oz!.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz!.) can tomato paste
2 bay leafs
2 t!. salt
1 T!. ground allspice
1 T!. ground cinnamon
Red & black pepper to taste
1 (4 oz!.) can mushrooms, stems and pieces
1 c!. Sherry
1 c!. Chiante or red wine
Grated Parmesan cheese
Grated Cheddar cheese

Directions:
1!. Cook onions, green peppers, celery, parsley and garlic in oil until tender!.
2!. Drain!.
3!. Add tomatoes and juice, tomato sauce and paste, bay leaves and spices and simmer for 1 hour!.
4!. Add mushrooms, Sherry and Wine and simmer 30 minutes!.
5!. Serve with Parmesan and Cheddar cheeses!.

The sauce freezes well!.

It is absolutely delicious!

Makes 16-18 servings!.

If you want a meat sauce then 3 lbs!. of ground beef!. Brown ground beef, drain and add to sauce!.

Good Luck with what the ingredients you have on hand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Using the puree, diced tomatoes and a cup of broth, simmer with italian spices and garlic

cook the pasta, drain and place in a baking dish

cube chicken and saute in butter/oil until cooked, place over pasta

mix the ricotta, garlic, italian spices and 1/4 cup bread crumbs

drop by tablespoons over pasta

top with sauce

bake 25 mins

sprinkle cheese over

bake 10 minsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'd go with your last idea!.
Ditch the tomatoes/ sauce & go with a white sauce!.
Mushroom soup - diluted with chicken broth!.
Saute chicken , mushrooms & garlic, mix in sauce!.
Add cooked pasta!. Top with grated cheese & bake til warm & top crispy,Www@FoodAQ@Com

use the cream of chicken soup as the base, because your already using mushrooms you don't won't to over do it with the mushrooms!. make a salad and you have a meal!. Don't forget the bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The tomato base and ricotta somewhat like a manicotti !.Plus, its healthier than the mushroom soup because of the sodium, added flour and oil!. The can of mushroom soup will overpower the natural flavors of the herbs and veggies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use the cream of mushroom soup, pasta, chicken and some mixed vegetables to make a chicken pasta casserole!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

So you are using Chicken, Mushrooms, Parsley, Cherry Tomatoes and Pasta!. I would use Chicken Stock or Diced Tomatoes and if you have onions, garlic, dried basil or oregano and salt & pepper and it simmer for 30 minutes!.
Hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com
