Is red velvet cake with no vanilla going to be a disaster?!
I baked red velvet cake and I forgot to add the teaspoon of vanilla called for in the recipe!. When I remembered the pans were already in the oven so I couldn't add the vanilla anymore!. Does anyone know what will happen to a red velvet cake with no vanilla!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It won't hurt the cake chemically, but when you taste the cake you can tell something is missing!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.think of that first bite of cake that woodsy warm taste at first bite you loose that flavor!. General population won't notice because of all the other junk we slap on cakes!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but your Great Grandma would taste it!. Happy cooking!Www@FoodAQ@Com
The cake itself won't self-regulate when it hits the desired baking temperature inside the oven and will most likely just kind of melt into a puddle, but if you freeze the **** you'll get the most delicious popsicles you could ever fancy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not much-it just won't have exactly the same taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
