There isn't any kind of secret!. It all depends on the lemons and how you like your lemonade!. Lemons vary in acidness and juciness!. So if you're making a pitcher you just have to experiment!.
Experiment 1
Find out how sweet you like your lemonade!. This will help since sugar is pretty constant!. Remember you can always add more sugar but you can't take it out!.
Experiment 2
Find out how tart you like your lemonade!. Think about your first pitcher!. What was it about that first pitcher that you didn't like!. Was it too much lemon or no enough!.
Basics steps to making lemonade
In a clean pitcher add sugar and water!. Water should not be cold or it will be very hard to dissolve the sugar!. Water should not be hot or it will cook the lemon and make it taste wired!. Dissolve the sugar!. Once sugar is dissolved add lemons!. If you are not sure add one by one and mix and taste after each addition!.
Once you have the perfect combination add ice!. If you don't finish the pitcher freeze it in ice cube trays and use it to ice your next pitcher!.
I usually use a 2 quart pitcher, 4 table spoons sugar and quite a few lemon (about 4!.5 on average)!. I like my lemonade quite tart!.
Fresh lemonade tastes very different from canned, powdered or machine lemonade!. If you are not used to drinking fresh lemonade it might take you a while to find the recipe that works!.
Kudos for you for making fresh lemonade!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No you didn't!. But if you are used to the lemonade from restaurants and the grocery store, those are a lot more concentrated that regular homemade lemonade!. Homemade lemonade may have less bite do to how ripe your lemons are!. If they are not as ripe you may not get the tart you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Really, there isn't a secret recipe!. I just use as many lemons as I can find and squeeze the juice out!. I sometimes strain out the pulp, but I think it tastes a little better with a little bit of pulp!. I then add about 1 1/2 the amount of lemon juice in water and add sugar to taste!. Hopefully this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i NEVER measure -- thats the trick!. squeeze all the lemons in FIRST! then add water until its not super sour, but where the lemon flavor is strong and it is still a little sour!. then add sugar until it tastes just right!. good luck and have fun!! :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's pretty much the whole set of ingredients!. Maybe you need more lemons!. It should taste like lemons, with just enough sugar to cut the effect of the lemons!. I like to throw a lime or two in with the lemons, give it more taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it does depend on HOW MUCH water and juice you get out of the lemons you know!.

is it too watery!? too sour!? give more details!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no not really!. That is just something that you just don't have set rules to it!. It more a trial and error situation!. Well for me it isWww@FoodAQ@Com
