Wanna share your easiest recipes?!
I've got one leaving the nest and I'd like to send her off with a few recipes, keeping in mind she doesn't cook (at all) and we've got the whole Starving College Student economics thing to deal with (Recipes that use limited ingredients that are readily available perhaps)!. She seems intrigued with the crock pot and she's a bit health conscious if that helps!. She is NOT a fussy eater at all, tho chicken seems to be her meat of choice!. So, there's your challenge, should you choose to accept it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Chicken Surprise:
1 small chicken breast (4 oz is the actual serving size)
1/4 to 1/2 cup bowtie noodles (or any kind, really)
Light Balsamic Vinagarette dressing (or Italian, whichever she prefers)
Butter
Her favorite seasoning (Mine is the restaurant Red Robin's seasoning they have at the tables!.!.!.I stole some!)
Simply cube the chicken, and saute it with the seasoning and butter!. Enough butter to coat the bottom of the pan, but any more will make a mess!. I imagine oil would work, too!.
To saute: put the chicken in the pan, medium heat, with the oil/butter, stir often, cook till it looks done! It should be white! NOT pink!
While that's going, boil the noodles and drain them when they're ready!. Once that's all done, mix the chicken and noodles into a big bowl and pour the dressing over top!. Stir it all up, add more of anything as she likes!. It's quick (as long as she doesn't make a mess!!!), easy, and tasty!. Very filling, but makes a lot of dishes!. Have her go ahead and change this recipe to the way she likes!!
also, a George Foreman grill is a lifesaver!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

the easiest recipe I tried is one for peanut butter cookies ( I think its from Kraft)
you need:
1 egg
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
Preheat oven to 325F!. Mix all the ingredients together!. Then drop spoonfuls onto a ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart!. Bake for about 12-15 minutes!.
I like to add 1 tsp of vanilla to this cuz it just smells (& tastes) soo yummy!.
I also think fried rice is really easy & great for leftovers!. She can just throw in whatever leftover meat &/or veggies shes got in the fridge
heres a basic recipe from about!.com
