Question: How much water and rice do I put in my rice cooker!?
Answers:
2 parts water to 1 part rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Before you blow up your rice cooker or wind up with watery rice!. Listen to Adie!. 2:1 water to rice ratio is for a pot!. A rice cooker is a steamer that doesn't use that ratio!.!. If you're really unsure read the directions but the rule of thumb is 1:1 + 1/2(ish) !. You may have to play with the 1/2 cup of water to get it right for your rice cooker but it should be close enough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, Stephanie is dead on!. You also want to make sure you rinse and drain the rice to remove all the extra starch- which will give you a gummy and sticky texture as opposed to a firm and fluffy texture!. Don't keep opening the lid once the rice has started to simmer!. The evaporation of steam and water can lead to a hard, uncooked rice!. Leave the lid closed and do not stir!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the ratio is always if makeing rice in rice cooker or the stove
