The first person to answer this question had the right idea - but I think she is on metric, and 50 degrees is Celsius!. Lightly toss the beef cubes in flour, salt and pepper!. Pour oil in bottom of pot and brown beef, Do this in small batches, so the beef isn't crowded or else it won't brown!. Take the meat out as it is done and put on plate!. Once all the meat is browned and on plate, add the chopped onions, and garlic to the pot, saute slightly and add beef back into pot!. Add beef stock and seasonings!. Put it in the oven at 150 to 200 Fahrenheit for at least 4 hours!.

After the first two hours then add the carrots, potatoes, celery etc!. If you put the veggies (other than onions) in first they will get overcooked and melt into the gravy!. Take it out and check the meat - it should be fork tender!. You can move the pot to the stove, take the lid off and simmer (on med-low) to reduce the gravy if it's too thick!. For seasonings I use rosemary, thyme and red chili flakes!. Sometimes, I add curry powder, garbanzo beans and make it a bit spicier with red chili flakes

You can also deglaze the pot after you cook the beef (there will all kinds of brown bits on the bottom of the pan) with brandy or red wine - both of those will add a depth of flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well first cut the beef into cubes, and seal it on each side!. You do this by heating a pan really hot and quickly browning each side!. This will only take a few seconds!. Then you put the beef, onions, carrots into a pot and mix it up!. Prepare the gravy and pour it over!. Cook it slowly at about 50 degrees for a couple of hours (depending on how much there is) until soft and cooked through!.

brown the meat in a pan and the onions, then add to a casserole dish with sliced carrots, mushrooms, potatoes (large chunks), 2-3 oxo, good splash of worcester sauce, good grind of black pepper and enough water to cover and cook for approx 2-3 hours or until the beef flakes apart - if the sauce needs thinkening add some gravy granules at the end - i like to serve with crusty bread or yorkshire puddingsWww@FoodAQ@Com

How about you just steam the vegies, you cant go wrong there, just cook them on a quarter heat for about 15-30 min depending on how big the pot is!.!.
Fry the steak on half to 3/4 heat for about 5-15 min on both sides depending on how thick it is or how rare you want it!. When the steak is half cooked add the onions to the fry!.
Hope this helps!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
