Answers:
"Fine" would be the size of sugar crystals!. No bigger!. If you're making your own crumbs from scratch, I'd suggest putting them in a plastic bag and then rolling them with a rolling pin to get them as fine as you can!. Otherwise, you can just buy a container of bread crumbs at the store!. I use herbed bread crumbs for my meatloaf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Panko is a great example!.

You can make your own with dried bread (or dried toast) crushed in a baggie or in the blender!.

You can even use crackers, crushed or any kind of plain cereal such as cheerioes, wheat flakes (it's failing me right now sorry), chex, etc!.!.!.as long as it doesn't have sugar on it you are good to go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Run dried bread through a blender or food processor to get fine bread crumbs!.

You can do it by hand using a rolling pin, but the bread needs to be very dry!.

It should be the same consistency as sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can purchase fine bread crumbs at most groceries!. If I use crumbs I make, I just crumble with my hands--don't worry about how fine they are!.

You can use quick cooking oats instead if you wish!. (That's what my mom always did!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it means smaller pieces in this case!. But I think any bread crumbs you see in the store are fine, unless it is specially made to have huge pieces!.

I hope your meatloaf comes out very finely!! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both answers 1 and 2 are great!. Easiest is to buy them, I like to use Italian Bread crumbs, they are seasoned and work great in meatloaf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Too much work! I just put stale bread or crackers in a zip loc bag, close it, and pound with a meat mallet or something heavy!. Still will taste good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
