Best way to cook Moreton Bay Bugs?!
Can anyone suggest best method for cooking these yummy crustaceans!? Does anyone have any recipes as well, please!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can put them in any dish that you would use lobster in, but here are some recipes for them!.
CANADIAN MORETON BAY BUGS
* 3 green moreton bay bugs
* 2 birds eye chiles
* 2 garlic cloves
* 1/2 cup butter
* salt
* pepper
* lime juice
* lime zest
* 1/4 cup parsley
Directions
1!. Cut bugs in half lengthwise and clean out the 'yuck'!.
2!. Rinse well under running water, ensuring meat stays in shell!.
3!. Drain well and place on platter meat side up!.
4!. Season to taste with freshly cracked salt and pepper!.
5!. Melt butter being careful not to burn!.
6!. Put the zest of one lime into the melted butter, squeeze half the lime over the bugs, half into the butter!.
7!. Add garlic and finely diced chilies to the melted butter, heat gently to combine flavors!.
8!. Spoon butter mixture evenly over bugs reserving 1/4 of the mixture to spoon over just before serving!.
9!. Broil under griller for 11 minutes or until bugs are opaque!.
10!. Spoon reserved butter mixture over hot bugs to serve, and sprinkle with finely chopped fresh parsley!.
11!. Serve with toasted turkish bread!.

Serves/Makes: 2
Ingredients:
* 2 large Moreton Bay bug tails
* 2 tablespoons butter
* 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice

* Split the Bay bug tails lengthwise from the top, but not all the way through open the shell to expose the meat!.
* Melt the butter!. Add garlic, lemon juice, and parsley!. Saute for 2 minutes!.

Just put in a pot of boiling water with LOTS of Cajun spices until they turn red!. If they are already cooked, just do the same until they are heated through!. Enjoy with a remoulade sauce or cocktail sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
