What Can I Use To Make A Tree On A Cake?!

Question: What Can I Use To Make A Tree On A Cake!?
I'm making my friend a Twilight birthday cake and I'm making trees on it, I thought of using cinnamon sticks as the trunk of a tree, but what could I use as a topper!?!? (Doesn't have to be edible, just has to be cheapish!.)

Any other suggestions for the cake will be welcomed with open arms!.

Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

These may not be the right kind of trees, but here are a couple of good ideas!. Maybe you could "ad lib" on the basic ideas:

Before I saw those ideas, I was thinking along the the lines of a small styrofoam ball covered with cake-decorating icing, setting on top of something like Twix candy bars, fat pretzels, or even a paper tube covered in a different color frosting or chocolate!.

Another idea may be to cut out a small circle or cardboard and pile up the green frosting!. It would have to be able to sit atop whatever you used for a trunk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can melt chocolate, shape the chocolate into trees (by brushing the chocolate) on a piece of parchment paper the put them into the freezer!. You can lean them against the cinnamon sticks if you want!. =)

good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make pine trees by frosting sugar cone ice cream cones!. Put the frosting on then put the knoce on and pull it off to get a rought texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
