Oatmeal and oatbran the same thing?!
Answers:
no oatmeal is the whole kernal flattened in a press the bran is the outer husk of a grain like the shell of the wheat or the oats or the rye its removed for the smoother texture for cereals but now instead they add it back for whole grain goodness it scours the colon of grease and drops the colesteral count a littleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Take wheat for instance!. Flour is made of wheat!. Bread is made of flour!. You can buy white bread or wheat bread yet both are made of wheat!. You put flour in gravy and that is not a wheat product same goes for oats!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
