Can I substitute soy milk for regular milk in baking?!

Question: Can I substitute soy milk for regular milk in baking!?
I want to make a cake but the recipe calls for milk!. Would soy milk work!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Absolutely!. I use it all the time!

The only time I have found that soy milk doesn't work as well is when I've tried to make creamy or custardy sauces that have to cook and thicken!. It doesn't stand up as well as dairy milk!. But in cake, pie, muffins, cookies, etc!., where it is just mixed into the batter, it works just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Panda, depends on what your baking, my wife used soy in a recipe, and it was a disaster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In most cases, yes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No reason it wouldn't be!. Good idea, never thought to use soy milk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
